Zara's Story
Born prematurely and living with cerebral palsy, 15-year-old Zara has found confidence, friendship and independence through Premier League Inclusive Kicks. Over the past four years, she has become more confident, independent, and a fearless goalkeeper.
Caitie's Story
Caitie, born and raised in Penygraig, a Welsh village in the Rhondda, has always had a natural enthusiasm for sport and a deep love of football, but was unsure how to channel it. At just sixteen, Caitie walked through the Community Foundation’s doors. A high achiever in high school, she was seeking pathways through the beautiful game that could tap into her passion for sport while also challenging her academic skills.

Eight pupils at Windsor Clive Primary School in Ely were inspired by Cardiff City FC Community Foundation’s Premier League Primary Stars sessions to create a Cardiff City Mini‑Supporters Club, giving children a safe space to connect with peers beyond the classroom.
Chris' Story
Chris Griffiths, whose Alzheimer’s diagnosis came as a devastating shock to his family, has always had football at the heart of his life. . In partnership with Alzheimer’s Society and Sporting Memories, The 1927 Club offers someone like Chris a chance to reminiscence about classic matches in a warm, welcoming space at Cardiff City Stadium.
Hashim's Story
Hashim has become an influential figure within the community and a valued member of the Community Foundation’s outreach team, helping to strengthen Cardiff City FC’s local connections and support people from a range of backgrounds through a shared love of football.

A lifelong Bluebirds fan, Nathan discovered the Cardiff City FC's official charity at a pivotal time in his life. Their post-school education became a safe space where he felt heard, supported and able to escape reality, using the power of football.
Dave’s Story
As David's career progressed, fitness began to take a back seat. Now semi-retired, he felt ready to take the next step in his fitness journey. FIT Bluebirds proved to be the perfect solution, offering a fun, social environment alongside a structured approach to fitness and wellbeing.

Holly had found high school challenging and overwhelming, but her tutor Mathew worked closely to find an activity that suit her strengths and to help boost her concentration.
Ahmed’s Story
Ahmed, an eight-year-old pupil at St Paul’s Primary School who is learning English, is the first member of his family to be born in the UK. Living with cerebral palsy, which affects his mobility in both his legs and arms, he often finds everyday tasks painful and tiring while also navigating the challenges of a new language.
Alys' Story
After the pandemic, Alys struggled with severe anxiety that made leaving the house a major challenge. Today, she attends classes regularly and enjoys girls’ futsal—something she once thought impossible after years of isolation from her peers.
Evan's story
Traditional school settings had failed to engage Evan, but since joining the the Foundation, his outlook has changed. Launched in partnership with Cardiff and Vale College, the Junior Apprenticeship programme offers 14–16-year-olds the chance to gain skills and qualifications in football and sports-related industries.
Henry's Story
From Cardiff City fan to dedicated youth worker, Henry has grown into a proud ambassador for the Foundation’s work—supported every step of the way by our Further and Higher Education programmes.
