Cardiff City FC occupies a unique place at the heart of its communities. It has an ability to reach, inspire and influence. With that comes a corporate social responsibility to make a difference to local communities.
Cardiff City FC Community Foundation (the Community Foundation) is the official charity of the Club and the Club’s community department.
Its vision is that people in our communities achieve their full potential, and its mission is to use the inspiration of the Cardiff City FC to change lives and transform communities. It does this by providing a range of services and by working in partnership to improve health and wellbeing, support learning and skills, and build stronger communities
The Club’s corporate social responsibility is delivered through Cardiff City FC Community Foundation.
A Charities Committee, which includes representatives from the Club and the Community Foundation, meets on a regular periodic basis to consider requests in line with its policy for Charities, Good Causes and Awareness campaigns.
The Club and Community Foundation are committed to working with the local community and supporting local charities and causes through the provision of a very limited number of:
- Match Day Ticket Vouchers (Requests will only be considered for matches taking place within 4 weeks of submission date)
- Signed Shirts
- Signed Balls
We are inundated with hundreds of requests for support throughout the season, and while we’re only able to fulfil a small number of requests, we will commit to providing support where possible. Due to the large number of applications, we are unable to accommodate requests outside of our locality i.e. Cardiff and its neighbouring counties.
To submit a request, please complete the contact form below. All submissions will be reviewed by the Charities Committee on a periodic basis. We only accept submissions via this form, and not via phone or email.
All those who do apply are assured that all applications are very carefully considered, but at all times donations remain entirely at the discretion of the Charities Committee. All successful applications will be notified by email.
The Club will commit to providing 8 x Matchday Collections per annum, chosen by the Charity Committee in alignment with priorities ahead of each season. For the 2023/24 Season, only 1 Matchday Collection remains open for consideration. Requests must be made via the contact form below.
Our calendar of awareness campaigns is particularly busy, and the focus for the 23/24 season will be to promote initiatives and campaigns that:
- Create an inclusive, welcoming environment
- Address the challenges of social deprivation, exclusion and isolation.
- Support our commitments to safeguarding
- Support mental health awareness
On exceptional occasions the Charities Committee may support national or international emergencies or campaigns
