Cardiff City FC Community Foundation works directly with children, young people and adults at risk to improve health and wellbeing and to help people reach their full potential. Our staff hold our values of passion, inclusion, innovation, respect and collaboration to do this and a commitment to safeguarding underpins each of these core values.
We are committed to providing safe and supportive environments for everyone involved in our organisation and the work we do. We believe that everyone, and specifically those who are in vulnerable circumstances and less able to protect themselves, has the right to be kept safe from harm, exploitation, abuse and neglect.
All our staff have a personal, professional and legal responsibility for safeguarding children and adults at risk.
We do this by ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all those involved in our activities, whether it be at Cardiff City House of Sport at Cardiff City Stadium or out at our community and school venues. Our staff are committed to protecting children and adults at risk from harm, exploitation, abuse and neglect and reporting concerns whenever they believe this has happened.
The Community Foundation takes its responsibilities seriously in this area and we are committed to:
- Getting the right people involved through safe recruitment and training.
- Creating a safe environment for all visitors, participants, and staff.
- Having and promoting clear systems to deal with any issues or concerns.
