Girls Taster Day: Study with us!
15 Ebrill 2024
The Easter edition of Cardiff City FC Soccer Schools has come to a close, marked by a whirlwind of enthusiasm and notable appearances by none other than Cardiff City FC Manager Erol Bulut and First-Team players. These memorable visits provided an outstanding chance for our Higher Education students and Junior Bluebirds to get inspired and elevate their skills on the field.
Open to boys and girls from Reception to Year 6, regardless of their skill level, Cardiff City FC Soccer Schools offers children the chance to train like Bluebird during the school holidays, under the guidance of qualified coaches at the Community Foundation.
If you've never kicked a ball before or have been playing for years, you are guaranteed to enjoy these sessions. Get the chance to meet new friends and develop your skills and technique before putting them into practice in conditioned, small-sided games.
DID YOU KNOW, EROL IS A FORMER member of the Turkey National Futsal Team
On March 27th, Manager Bulut joined students from our Foundation Degree in Community Football Coaching and Development to oversee their Futsal coaching session with soccer school participants, at Cardiff City House of Sport. This gave our students the opportunity to teach and supervise a different aspect of football creatively, promoting quick thinking, offering guidance, and encouraging attentiveness.
Futsal, known for its fast-paced and exhilarating nature, places a strong emphasis on technical ability and managing pressure. It also serves as an excellent platform for nurturing football skills that seamlessly transition to the traditional 11-a-side game format. Top of Form
Drawing from his extensive experience as a former member of the Turkey National Futsal Team, Bulut engaged in a Q&A session with the students, offering invaluable insights and advice to the team – such as his sources of inspiration, significant moments in his managerial career, and his most cherished memories.
The Foundation Degree in Community Football Coaching and Development offers a variety of exciting career paths within the football industry. We work closely with our partners, the University of South Wales to ensure that young people have the very best learning experience. From lectures and seminars to hands-on coaching experiences, students receive a blended learning experience aimed at nurturing their passion for football.
Although the UCAS Deadline has now passed, we can still help you apply directly to University of South Wales for 2024 entry! Find out more here!
Our Cardiff City FC Soccer Schools also had the pleasure of hosting two special guests at Y Plant Comprehensive School in Pontyclun. On April 4th, Defender Jamilu Collins and Goalkeeper Matt Turner actively participated in an afternoon of football coaching, as they helped coordinate 5-a-side games, drills, and a tense round of penalty shootout!
The First Team players also took part in a Q&A session with young City fans. They shared insights such as their favourite teammates to train with, pivotal career moments, and the journey that led them to become professional football players. Their presence served as a beacon of inspiration for young players, showcasing the potential rewards for those committed to pursuing their football aspirations.
