Bluebirds Ability is a disability football programme that improves wellbeing, develops confidence, and increases social interaction.
During the school term, we deliver these football sessions for children and young people with a disability aged 5-11.
Through our sessions, we aim to ensure everyone is given the opportunity to experience the benefits of taking part in regular sport.
The activities below are pan-disability, group sessions, if your child has more complex needs and/or has one-to-one support in school please email chris.foot@cardiffcityfc.org.uk.
Bluebirds Ability sessions are funded by BBC Children in Need and are free of charge for children and young people aged 5-18.

Every Sunday - 9-10am
What we offer
Through our sessions, we aim to ensure everyone is given the opportunity to experience the benefits of taking part in regular sport. Our sessions run during school terms and include:
- - Group Session: up to 24 participants.
- - One-to-One Sessions: 30-minute slots. Tailored for children with more complex needs, limited to four participants. Pre-booking required. Only available in Cardiff.

Venues and Timings
We offer inclusive football sessions for ages 5 to 11 at the following locations Term time:
- - Merthyr Leisure Centre (CF48 1UT): Thursdays, 4:30pm - 5:30pm (Group session)
- - Cardiff City House of Sport 3G Pitch (CF11 8AW): Sundays, 9am - 10am (group session)
- - Cardiff City House of Sport 3G Pitch (CF11 8AW): Sundays, 10am – 11am (one to one)
