Will Vaulks and Seren Watkins have been named as Cardiff City FC’s PFA Players in the Community for 2021/22.
The awards aim to raise awareness of and rewards players for their commitment and interest to the Foundation’s work throughout the season, which both Will and Seren have done so in remarkable fashion.
Vaulks was instrumental in keeping Foundation beneficiaries engaged during a tough time, chatting with them on video calls and taking an interest in their progress and development on our projects.
When receiving his award, Will said:
"I just want to say a massive thank you. It means a lot to be named the PFA Community Champion, I enjoy giving back to the community and it’s the least we can do as footballers. Long may it continue.”
Will was presented his award by young people who study on our Future Pathways post-16 education programme.
Rewarded for their commitment and work ethic, our beneficiaries also stayed to watch first team training.

Watkins has been particularly engaged with the opportunities and activities that the Foundation provides with female participants.
Speaking when receiving her award, Seren said:
"I’m delighted to be named as the PFA Community Champion, it’s been great to be able to meet the young people at the Foundation and I can’t wait to see more of the continued work in our communities.”

It’s important that we recognise the positive impact that both men and women first team players have on our beneficiaries – and we’d like to say a huge thank you to both Will and Seren for their support.
Foundation Director, Gavin Hawkey, said:
“I’d like to personally thank both Will and Seren for their support of our work – they're both perfect role models for our beneficiaries and we look forward to welcoming them to more of our sessions and meeting more of our beneficiaries in the future.”
