Cardiff City FC charity delivers £66m boost for communities across South Wales
Cardiff City FC Community Foundation has generated more than £66 million in social value over the last two seasons, new independent analysis has found.
Cardiff City FC Community Foundation has bolstered its Board of Trustees with the appointment of four new members with extensive leadership experience in Housing and Homelessness, Community, Business and Commercial sectors. The new Trustees are:
Ali Abdi – Chair of Grange Pavilion, with 20 years experience of empowering communities, youth work, mentoring and organising for change.
Andrew Diplock – Entrepreneur, business owner and advisor helping small companies grow sustainably, and Governor of Coleg y Cymoedd.
Catrin Stark – Director of Housing and Communities at Cadwyn, with 18 years experience within the Charity and third sector within Housing and Homelessness Services.
James Bibby – Head of Commercial at Cardiff City FC, a commercial and business development leader within sport and the logistics sector, passionate about connecting the Club to the community.
Welcoming the new appointments, Chair of the Board Leighton Andrews said:
“We’re delighted to announce such respected figures to our Board of Trustees, who bring fresh dimensions and depth to our charity at an exciting time, as we embark on our new strategic period.
These appointments represent our commitment to draw upon diverse expertise to help guide the charity forward to deliver on its ambitious new period of growth, and ultimately, change lives and transform our communities by improving health and wellbeing, supporting learning and skills, and building stronger communities.”
