Cardiff City FC Community Foundation is excited to announce the launch of Football for All, a new project focused on providing early intervention support for refugees and asylum seekers in Cardiff to help build new skills; and improve physical and mental health. The project is designed to not only support individual participants but to contribute to the creation of a more cohesive and connected community in Cardiff.
The project will accompany our Kicks outreach programme – aiming to create safer, more inclusive communities by giving people in South Wales access to free football sessions and opportunities for personal development.
Zac Lyndon-Jones, Head of Community Development at Cardiff City FC Community Foundation said:
"Our Football for All project, generously funded by The National Lottery, is a catalyst for positive change in our community. We are on a mission to connect and empower individuals of all ages and backgrounds, promoting a sense of belonging, leadership, and unity through the beautiful game, and building a stronger, more united community across Cardiff." – Zac Lyndon-Jones, Head of Community Development, Cardiff City FC Community Foundation.
By using the power of sport and physical activity; we can help to break down barriers; promote social interaction; and build bridges between different groups. Together, we’re changing the game.
