Premier League supports Cardiff City FC Community Foundation to give free books to local primary school pupils
13 Chwefror 2025
On Friday 7th February, Cardiff City FC Community Foundation hosted a highly successful Corporate 5-a-side Tournament at Cardiff City House of Sport, aimed at raising essential funds to support its community and education projects, that generate £33.4 million in social value.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the incredible businesses that participated in this event, including DenValco, Envisage Envelope Solutions, SGM Waste Management, CASS Scaffolding, and Willis Construction, helping to raise nearly £2,000. Additionally, we are deeply thankful for the generous donation from Advanced Carpentry Solutions, which further supports our work.
We are pleased to congratulate Willis Construction on winning a signed shirt and DenValco on securing matchday tickets, as a reward for their performance. Every participant demonstrated incredible sportsmanship and passion for the beautiful game, making the event memorable for all involved.
The tournament was managed by degree students studying a Foundation Degree in Community Football Coaching and Development, as part of their event management module. Each student delivered the tournaments professionally, ensuring the event ran seamlessly. The Foundation Degree offers a variety of exciting career paths within the football industry and we work closely with our partners, the University of South Wales and EFL in the Community to ensure that young people have the very best learning experience.
At the conclusion of the tournament, participants were treated to a pitchside experience, followed by an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the stadium. The day ended with a relaxing wind-down at the Captain’s Lounge in Cardiff City Stadium, where attendees enjoyed a presentation and a delicious curry buffet.
The event also provided a valuable opportunity for businesses to network and learn more about the meaningful work being carried out by Cardiff City FC Community Foundation in their local communities.
A special thank you goes to our charity partner, Willis Construction, for their involvement and the expertise they brought in expanding their network and supporting this event. Their contributions helped ensure the success of the tournament. By partnering with us, your business can make an extraordinary impact on our work to change lives and transform our communities.
