Ehab enrolled on our Future Pathways programme after a difficult path in education for the 20-year-old who lives in Cathays, Cardiff.
Moving from Tunisia aged 16, Ehab found it difficult to adapt to the difference in learning and left school with just two GCSEs.
Ehab wanted to progress into further education as well become more involved with sport.
Once he heard about our Future Pathways programme, Ehab enrolled on the Jobs Growth Wales + Engagement course – studying three days a week at Cardiff City House of Sport.
After showing excellent progression, Ehab moved onto our BTEC Level 3 course within 12 months of studying with the Foundation.
Giving Ehab a routine has been a key factor in his development – being able to study alongside training and playing futsal competitively gave him a purpose and had a huge positive impact on his work ethic.
“Studying with the Foundation gave me the chance to study in a relaxed atmosphere and I started seeing big improvements in my studies and my sporting performances.
“The support from the tutors has helped a lot – now I know what I want to do in the years to come and my future.”
Ehab has now been accepted to study Sport and Exercise Science at University in South Wales in September and is looking forward to furthering his education and development.
