Alternative Sport Pathway

Our Alternative Sport Pathway is designed for Year 10 and 11 learners with a passion for sport, fitness, and hands-on learning...

WHAT TO EXPECT!

The Cardiff City Alternative Sport Pathway offers the perfect balance between classroom-based learning and practical activities. Delivered on a full-time basis, the course is designed for Year 10 and 11 students with a passion for sport, fitness, and hands-on learning.

This unique pathway combines professional sports coaching, academic development, and personal enrichment in a supportive, non-traditional learning environment. Our dedicated tutors work closely with each learner to understand their individual needs, helping them progress into further education, apprenticeships, or employment.

Our Alternative Provision is ideal for learners who benefit from a more practical, vocational approach and thrive in an engaging, inclusive setting. Students will also have the opportunity to work alongside our Veterans at the Cardiff City FC Memorial Garden and collaborate with partners from the construction, engineering, and broadcasting industries.

We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming environment where every student can thrive, offering smaller class sizes and personalised 1:1 support.

Course highlights:

  • Workshops, guest speakers, and practical projects.
  • Collaborative projects with our Veterans Hub.
  • Matchday tickets and behind-the-scenes experiences.
