NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Sport & Activity
Our Level 3 course gives learners the opportunity to complete a NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Sport & Activity and further their love of sport and passion for learning.
WHAT TO EXPECT!
The structure of the BTEC Level 2 course is the perfect balance between classroom-based learning and practical activities.
We’re proud to be able to offer our students a relaxed atmosphere to learn and the opportunity to transfer what they’ve learned in the classroom through structured, practical training sessions.
Students will work to complete a BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Sport, which is an academic equivalent to 4 GCSEs. We provide fantastic progression opportunities for those learners with aspirations to study a BTEC Level 3, as well as providing the knowledge and skills needed for employment or apprenticeships.
Students will gain the knowledge required for a substantial understanding of the principles of sport. Lesson modules include anatomy, physiology, sports psychology, sports coaching, and sports research.
DISCOVER FUTSAL.
One of the most unique aspects of the Further Education programme is that our student's time is split between theory and practical learning.
Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided football game, the game places a large emphasis on technical skill and ability in situations of high pressure and is subsequently an excellent breeding ground for football competencies that can be translated into the 11-a side format of the game.
We boast 3 modern Futsal courts where our students represent Cardiff City FC in the Association of Colleges Futsal League and the FAW Futsal League. Female students are also able to represent Cardiff & Vale College through their Girls Football Academy.
Male and Female teams have recently tasted success, winning the South West Division Title, and the Girls Futsal Shield.

Throughout the course, we offer students a range of extracurricular opportunities, including volunteering with Cardiff City FC and the chance to earn an FAW Level 1 coaching qualification. Our goal is to provide education and employment pathways for young people, supporting their ambitions to progress into further education or the workforce.
