We’re hosting trials for the Community Foundation’s futsal squad at Ocean Park Arena, giving young people in Years 11–13 the opportunity to study while representing Cardiff City FC.
IR Energy, a South Wales-based company specialising in helping homes and businesses become more energy-efficient, has generously donated 100 chocolate selection boxes to Premier League Inclusive Kicks, a weekly football-based wellbeing session delivered by the Cardiff City FC Community Foundation.
Merthyr Kicks, held every Thursday in Merthyr Tydfil, welcomes around 30 children with complex needs, along with their carers, parents and grandparents. The programme began as a small group of just five children and has grown into a warm, supportive community space where families come together to enjoy activity, connection and confidence-building.
In addition to supporting Premier League Inclusive Kicks, the selection boxes will also be distributed across all the Foundation’s youth outreach programmes in Merthyr Tydfil, including sessions at Gurnos Community Centre and Rhyd-y-Car, as well as their further education provision, ensuring even more young people benefit from this festive donation.

“This kind gesture from IR Energy means a great deal to our Inclusive Kicks families and the wider community. The children look forward to these sessions all week, this donation will help us make their festive celebrations even more special.”
