Monday 16th – Friday 20th January marked the EFL’s second-ever Week of Action and alongside the 71 other EFL Clubs and Community Club Organisations, Cardiff City FC Foundation and Cardiff City FC recognised the occasion.
Cardiff City FC Men’s and Women’s First Team and Academy players were out in our local communities attending community activities led by Cardiff City FC Foundation including:
- Sheyi Ojo and Jaden Philogene meeting participants at our secondary education project – a project that supports young people get their education back on track.
- Ollie Denham learning more about our post-16 education offer Future Pathways - programmes that provide young people aged 16-18 with the opportunity to study a BTEC in sport.
- Caleb Hughes and Cian Ashford visiting a community football session in Llanedeyrn as part of our Kicks project – using the power of football to build stronger communities.
- Phoebie Poole, Seren Watkins and Hollie Smith surprising participants at our Bluebirds Ability session – a disability football project that encouraging young people with a disability to stay physically and mentally active, improve social interaction and develop self-confidence.
Using the appeal of Cardiff City FC to change lives, the Cardiff City FC Community Foundation invested over £1.4 million into local communities in 2022.
More than 14,000 people engaged with education, wellbeing and community safety activities provided by the Cardiff City Foundation.
