Cardiff City FC Foundation is extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Aaron Tarr at the age of 19.
Aaron, from Ely, recently joined our post-16 education programme and was popular with fellow students and staff.
He was also an up-and-coming football coach volunteering his time with Fairwater Juniors, a Cardiff City season ticket holder, and was a member of the Compass Group hospitality team at Cardiff City Stadium.
The thoughts of all us of are with Aaron’s family and friends at this terribly difficult time.
Rest in Peace, Aaron.
Premier League supports Cardiff City FC Community Foundation to give free books to local primary school pupils
To mark World Book Day 2026® (Thursday 5 March), the Premier League will be giving away more than 120,000 free books to children across England and Wales, through its Premier League Primary Stars programme.
Bryn Deri Primary School to represent Cardiff City FC in Premier League Primary Stars National Girls Football Tournament 2026
The Premier League Primary Stars National Girls Football Tournament is one of the competition elements of the Premier League Primary Stars programme. Launched in 2017 and available to every primary school in England and Wales, Premier League Primary Stars uses the appeal of football to inspire children aged five-to-11 to be active and develop essential skills.
Sport Taster Day: Study with us!
Step into the life of a Cardiff City student! Our Community Foundation is giving young people aged 16–19 the chance to experience our BTEC & NCFE Sport courses firsthand at our Taster Day on 18th February at Cardiff City House of Sport.
