Saturday’s fixture against Bradford City wasn’t just about a top-of-the-table clash. It was also an opportunity for Cardiff City FC’s official charity to showcase our work and impact with you, the fans.
From the moment the gates opened, our team were busy in and around the stadium, chatting about projects delivered across South Wales, collecting your generous donations, and highlighting our hat-trick of goals:
This year, we were delighted to be supported by our charity partners - businesses who share our belief that football can change lives. Our volunteers from Willis Construction, The BUSY Group, BusinessIn and Howden all got stuck in (rain and all!) to help spread our message and collect donations around the stadium.
To kick off the pre-match festivities, our staff and learners from our further and higher education programmes got fellow Bluebirds involved in a Keepy Uppy Challenge and a ‘guess the minute of the first goal’ game to raise funds for our work.
Over in the Family Stand, our team hosted fun activities for everyone to enjoy, while supporters were treated to a brilliant choir performance from pupils at Pencaerau Primary School, one of our partner primary schools. After impressing us last year, they were invited back as a token of appreciation for their continued hard work.
Students from St Cyres High School, part of our partner school network, proudly represented the Bluebirds Charity as centre-circle flag bearers - a recognition of their hard work throughout the season.
Some of our youngest beneficiaries had the unforgettable experience of walking out as mascots alongside their favourite players. They were selected for their leadership and inclusion during Cardiff City Soccer Schools and our community and education programmes. Our mascots even got the opportunity to ask Dakarai Mafico some hard-hitting questions in the press room, where he spoke about his time as an ambassador for the Foundation during his days in the Cardiff City Academy.
On the pitch, the players (and Bartley!) warmed up in Foundation-branded tops and carried our logo on their shirts during the match. Fans can now bid for these match-worn shirts, with all proceeds directly supporting our life-changing work. Together, we're changing the game.
To celebrate our supporters, old and new, we're also running an exclusive Instagram competition. One lucky Bluebird will win a signed, match-worn training top. Head over to @ccfc_foundation to find out how to enter!
At the heart of this Club are the fans and communities across South Wales who support us week in, week out. Through our education programmes, health initiatives, and outreach projects, we’re helping people reach their full potential.
Together, we can make a difference that lasts a lifetime.

Cardiff City Supporters Club Renews Partnership with Bluebirds Charity
The Supporters Club has been serving Cardiff City fans for many years, organising away travel and supporting its members. The partnership perfectly captures how football brings people together for something bigger than the game itself.
