Sport Education Open Evening: Study with us!
We're giving anyone the age between 16-19 the opportunity to learn more about the NCFE and BTEC Sport courses we have to offer at our Open Evening on 12th February at Cardiff City House of Sport.
Saturday’s fixture against Rotherham United was not only a great result on the pitch but an incredible one for us at Cardiff City FC Community Foundation as we were able to showcase our work with you – the fans.
As soon as the gates opened our team were busy throughout the stadium chatting about our work in communities across Cardiff and South East Wales and highlighting our hat-trick of goals – to improve health and wellbeing, support learning and skills, and build stronger communities.
Here are just some of our matchday highlights!
Representing Club and Community
Thanks to the generosity of the Club, some of our youngest beneficiaries had the opportunity to walk out on the pitch as mascots with their favorite players. The youngsters from our youth outreach and education programmes had an incredible experience representing their club and our community!
Sienna’s Squad Announcement
We wanted to thank our Premier League Primary Stars beneficiary and winner of the ‘One of Our Own Award’ for all her hard work over the last two years.
Early Years and Primary Education Coordinator, Luke Jenkins Jones said
“Our football-themed educational resources and challenges help take learning to the next level. Sienna has really engaged with all our lessons, and we’ve seen incredible improvements in her numeracy and literacy. Her commitment to the Club and to her learning is amazing”.
I’m sure you’ll agree that Super Fan Sienna absolutely smashed it!
Our Beneficiaries vs Bartley Bluebird
It was amazing to see some of our beneficiaries take to the pitch at half time for a penalty shootout against Bartley Bluebird! Unfortunately for Bartley, our squad put all three penalties past the legend and walked away with signed shirts (and bragging rights!)
Match Worn Shirts
Did you see the squad warming up in our pre-match tops, and spot our logo on the playing shirts?
We’d like to thank the Club and all the players for giving us an amazing platform and for gifting the shirts to us so that we can auction them in aid of our work.
All bids close on October 14th, click here to place your bid and support our work today.
At Cardiff City FC Community Foundation, it’s not just about goals on the pitch but the goals we can achieve together. If you’re inspired by the stories that you saw and heard, please help us by
