Sport Education Open Evening: Study with us!
We're giving anyone the age between 16-19 the opportunity to learn more about the NCFE and BTEC Sport courses we have to offer at our Open Evening on 12th February at Cardiff City House of Sport.
Members of Cardiff City U23s squad took time out of their busy schedules to visit one of Cardiff City FC Foundation’s Premier League Kicks half-term activities at Grange Gardens in Grangetown.
Owen Pritchard and Ryan Kavanagh met participants, found out more about the project before getting involved with a football session before presenting awards and signing programmes for the 30+ young people in attendance.
It’s so important that we use Cardiff City players as positive role models in their communities and through our Premier League Kicks project, we work with young people aged 11-19 across South Wales to support their personal development.
Ryan and Owen joined in with the practical element of the session
Speaking at the visit, Pritchard said:
“I remember when I was a kid meeting some of the players that were playing at the time, and you never forget it.
“We have a responsibility as players to give back to the community and attending a session like this and putting smiles on the faces of the kids that are here is so rewarding.”
Our Premier League Kicks sessions run throughout South Wales every week and you can find your nearest session by clicking here.
