Sport Education Open Evening: Study with us!
We're giving anyone the age between 16-19 the opportunity to learn more about the NCFE and BTEC Sport courses we have to offer at our Open Evening on 12th February at Cardiff City House of Sport.
We’re celebrating 15 years of Premier League Kicks – our youth outreach programme that supports young people with their personal development through free football sessions and educational workshops.
One person who has benefitted from their involvement is Ibby of Llanrumney who has been named as a Premier League Kicks “Local Legend” by Cardiff City FC Foundation as part of the programme’s 15-year anniversary.
As part of the 15-year celebrations, clubs have been asked to nominate a Premier League Kicks ‘Local Legend’ – somebody who has taken part in, volunteered, or worked on the programme and has inspired others through their dedication, work ethic and own personal development.
Each nominee will receive a bespoke ‘Local Legend’ football card, which has been created with support from Premier League partner Panini.
Ibby, 21, was chosen as Cardiff City FC Foundation’s Premier League Kicks Local Legend because of his commitment to the project, beginning as a participant before progressing to a volunteer and is now a full-time member of the Foundation’s staff team.

Ibby, who has been involved with Cardiff City FC Foundation’s Premier League Kicks activity for seven years said:
"I’m so honoured to be named as Cardiff City’s Local Legend. I’ve come a long way since then and volunteering for the Foundation really helped, it gave me a purpose.
"I want to follow in the footsteps of the coaches by acting as a role model for young people. I want to give back to the community I live in and teach others how they can be safe and street smart."
