February 2022 marks 15 years since the beginning of the Premier League Kicks programme, a youth outreach initiative that supports young people aged 11-19 with their personal development.
17-year-old Cordell attends our Premier League Kicks sessions at Eastern Leisure Centre in Llanrumney. Watch his story below and find out how the programme has had a positive impact on his life.
Over 85,000 young people have attended our free Premier League Kicks activities at 20 sites across South Wales.
We’ve supported young people to achieve their full potential through weekly football sessions and educational workshops.
Working in partnership with South Wales Police, local councils and youth services, we’ve been able to create safer communities across the capital and the South Wales Valleys and provide young people with opportunities to physically active in a safe environment.
Foundation Director Gavin Hawkey said:
“We’re proud that Premier League Kicks has been ever-present in our communities, providing safe spaces where young people can access free football activities, build positive relationships and develop important life skills.
“Thanks to the support of the Premier League Charitable Fund and our collaboration with local partners, we’re helping to build safer, healthier, more cohesive communities.”
