Cardiff City’s Deaf Futsal team triumphed in the annual Welsh Deaf Futsal Cup to reclaim their title at The National Velodrome in Newport, on Sunday the 16th of November.

Cardiff City started the tournament with two teams, Cardiff City Reds and Cardiff City Blues, and the first of the day’s fixtures saw the two teams playing against each other. In a close and competitive affair, it was The Reds who eventually triumphed as 3-1 winners.

Cardiff City Blues played a series of back-to-back games against Bristol City B and Newport County, both of which ended in 1-1 draws after the Cardiff team failed to convert plenty of chances. Cardiff’s woes continued with Cardiff City Reds losing 3-1 to Bristol City’s A team. However, the Red’s bouced back from the disappointing result with back to back wins against Newport County and Bristol B’s and the latter being a 6-2 win with Cardiff City’s Man of the Match, Tudor Morgan-Hugget scoring three.
