Cardiff City FC Foundation’s Walking Football team wins the Foundation’s Walking Football Tournament 2016.
The Foundation’s Walking Football team came up against strong opposition in their second Walking Football tournament of 2016. After winning the competition is Swansea in March, the teams were hoping to emulate their success again, this time in Cardiff at Cardiff City House of Sport 2.
Caerphilly, Neath, Pontypridd and Swansea all attended the tournament looking to claim victory. However, after only dropping 2 points throughout the tournament, it was Cardiff City’s A team who came away victorious after winning all but one of their fixtures.
Health & Disability Coordinator, Josh Law said:
“It’s been a fantastic day for our players and they thoroughly deserve it. They have all been fantastically committed since we started in November. I’d like to thank all the teams who have attended today and I hope they have enjoyed themselves.“
Cardiff City’s Walking Football team will be hoping they can continue their strong form into the upcoming Welsh Championships.
