New Directions Education will once again be the Official Sponsors for the event, National Director Howard Burge expressed his enjoyment at being involved in last years ride:

“Last years event was a huge success raising over £5,500 to help tackle inequalities in sport. I’m flattered that New Directions Education have once again partnered up with the Foundation as the Official Sponsor for one of its biggest fundraisers.”

“It’s a fantastic event that I’m proud to be a part of and already excited to do it all again in July.”

Foundation Director Gavin Hawkey discussed how the money raised from this years challenge will support young people in Cardiff.

“The money raised from this years challenge will be used to help the Foundation improve the outcomes for young people who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) by supporting the delivery of interventions to address the problem.”

Cardiff has the highest percentage of young people not in education, employment or training of any local authority in Wales. Furthermore, the majority of young people who do not make a successful transition into education, employment or training live in the more deprived areas of the City.

Day 3 Swansea

Gavin added: “It’s great that Tredz have again agreed to be the Official Bike Suppliers for the event, their support and expertise throughout the build up and the ride itself is essential for the success of the event.”
