Game Development + Sport

Cardiff City FC Foundation have once again partnered up with Candlhat Studios to bring the world of app developing and football coaching together.

Whether for business or fun, the app world is quickly becoming a vital part of the modern-day lifestyle. Cardiff City FC Foundation has created a new opportunity for girls aged between 14 and 19 to learn how to build their very own online game and work closely with a professional female game developer.

Creating App

No prior knowledge of programming or coding is required, just enthusiasm to create something new which you can share with family and friends.

You will

  • Learn the steps to develop an online game or app

  • Develop basic programming skills

  • Increase your technology knowledge

  • Enhance your creativity skills

  • Learn to work independently and also as a team

  • Understand what it takes to establish a career in technology

  • Stay active & enjoy sport

This is a great opportunity to adopt new skills and knowledge, and you never know, you could be the next Candy Crush or Flappy Bird creator.

At the end of the week, you will be able to present your idea to the technology expert who will give you all the tools to help it become successful.

You will also be able to view and play your online game after the week has finished via a special link created for you on your very own website

The Foundation’s Women & Girls Senior Coach will get you active in the afternoons and give you many opportunities to experience a variety of different sports.
