On Tuesday night Cardiff City FC Women’s Team were invited to the FAW Fair Play Awards Ceremony where they received the Welsh Women’s Premier League FAW Fair Play Award.
The award recognises the most disciplined side in each FAW League, and rewards teams with £1000 prize money and a trophy for the Women’s teams ever growing cabinet.
The aim of the FAW Fair Play Awards is to encourage a reduction in on-field misconduct and promote the FAW Fair Play Code.
The FAW, players and their clubs have a duty to raise awareness of the Fair Play message for the good of Welsh football.
Chairman Mike Thomas and Captain Siobhan Walsh received the award on behalf of the Women’s Team, along with Cardiff City FC Chief Executive Officer & Foundation Trustee Ken Choo and Foundation Trustee Steve Borley.
Welsh Government Cabinet Secretary for Health, Wellbeing and Sport, Vaughan Gething AM was also on hand to congratulate Siobhan Walsh on her teams achievement.
